What type of content is Bento Central looking for?

Bento Central is split into five main categories on the front page:

  • Lunches – posts or links to a bento lunch (image required)

Yes! There is a video category and depending on the quality of the video, a post with a video will likely get featured.

Can I submit ‘old’ content links?

Yes. As long as the link has not been provided before, old but useful bento content will likely be approved.

Do I need to make the thumbnail that shows up on the site?

No. Upload your image directly to the site by clicking on the Upload/Insert image box in the editor and the thumbnail will be automatically generated upon publication. If there is a URL in the ‘Link URL’ box, click the ‘None’ button.

My post was not approved. Why?

There are several reasons why content is not approved including photo quality, inappropriate content, duplicate content, and subject matter. Don’t let this discourage you. Keep submitting!

What does an editor do?

An editor can publish, delete, and moderate posts on Bento Central. Editors commit to writing one to two articles on bento a month and assist in approving submitted posts.
